As part of our general policy to deliver the best possible pediatric dental care to our patients, it is necessary for us to have an appointment policy. The purpose of this policy is to provide adequate time and staff for your child’s treatment.
We invite you to stay with your child during the first visit and the initial examination. We ask that the parent act as a "silent observer" during the duration of the appointment. Cooperation and trust must be established between the doctor and your child. This allows the doctor and staff to communicate with your child directly without distractions or safety concerns. During any future appointments, we request you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We encourage children over the age of 3 to come back to the treatment area by themselves.
If we provide the time, staff, and facilities for proper treatment, we need the patient here to render that care. A missed appointment not only results in your child not receiving needed treatment but also deprives us of the opportunity to schedule another patient who may also need treatment.
If for some reason you cannot keep an appointment, please call and make scheduling changes at least 24 hours in advance.
You will be charged a $40 fee for a missed appointment or for canceling an appointment without giving a 24-hour notice.
A late arrival may cause your child’s appointment to be rescheduled to a later date and time to accommodate other patients on the schedule who arrive on time.
A record is kept of broken appointments and appointments canceled without adequate notice. We reserve the right to discontinue dental services or request pre-payment for dental services to those who are not able to abide by this policy.
After-school appointments are very limited and are not a guarantee. This is a pediatric practice with hours the same as school.
